নারায়নগঞ্জ জেলার রুপগঞ্জ থানার ভূমিদস্যু হাজী শেহের আলীর নেতৃত্বে হিন্দুপাড়ায় হামলা মন্দির ভাঙচুর হয়েছে আজ ২৬।১২।২০২০ ইং বিকেল ৪ ঘটিকায় ।
রুপগঞ্জের সাওঘাট ঋষিপাড়ায় নকুল চন্দ্র সাহা মন্দিরের নামে দান করেন সেই জায়গা আত্মসাৎ করার জন্য বিভিন্নভাবে অপচেষ্টা করে যাচ্ছে শেহের আলী আজ হিন্দুরা মন্দির মেরামতের কাজ করতে গেলে
শেহের আলীর ছেলে জহিরুল ইসলাম ও তার দল বল ৮/১০টি মোটরসাইকেল করে এসে আজ ২৬শে ডিসেম্বর রোজ শনিবার দুপুর আড়াইটা চারটা পর্যন্ত দেশিয় অস্ত্র ও পিস্তল নিয়ে সাওঘাট মধ্যঋষিপাড়ায় দূর্গা মন্দিরে হামলা করে , কয়েকজনকে হত্যার উদ্দেশ্যে জখম করে করে দ্রুত পালিয়ে যায়।যাওয়ার সময় বন্দুক উচিয়ে দেশত্যাগের হুমকি প্রদান করে। এসময় স্থানীয় লোকজন একটি মোটরসাইকেল আটকে রেখে রাস্তা অবরোধ করে।
খবর পেয়ে আমি অ্যাড রবীন্দ্র ঘোষ বাংলাদেশ মাইনরিটি ওয়াচের পক্ষে নারায়ণগঞ্জের পুলিশ সুপারের সঙ্গে মোবাইলে ( ০১৩০০৯০৩০০) যোগাযোগ করলে তিনি আমাকে বলেন আইনগত বাবস্তা নেয়া হচ্ছে । আমি রুপগঞ্জ থানার অফিসার ইন চার্জ মোঃ মাহামুদুল ইসলাম ( মোবাইল ০১৩২০০৯০৫৩৩) বলেন এখনই মামলা দায়ের করা হচ্ছে – মামলা প্রক্রিয়াধিন । মুসলিম আক্রমণকারী ১০/১২ জনের বিরুদ্ধে । আসামীরা পলাতক আছে। থানার ও , সি কে মূর্তী ভাঙ্গার বাপারে জিজ্ঞাশা করলে তিনি বলেন কোন মূর্তী ভাঙ্গা হয় নি । কিন্তু এলেকার সাধারন জনগণকে জিজ্ঞাশা করলে তারা বলেন মূর্তী ভাঙ্গা হয়েছে, তারা আরও বলেন জোর পূর্বক জমি দখলের জন্য এই হামলা হয়েছে । তারা বলেছেন আহতদের হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করা হয়েছে । তারা সুষ্ঠ বিচার দাবি করছেন ।
বাংলাদেশ মাইনরিটি ওয়াচ এহেন ঘটনার তীব্র নিন্দা করেছেন । অনতি বিলম্বে আসামীদের গ্রেফতার করে আইনানুগ ব্যাবস্তা নেবার জন্য জোর দাবী জানাচ্ছে। আহতদের সুচিকিৎসার বাবস্তার দাবী জানাচ্ছে।

Zahirul Islam, son of Sheher Ali, and his team came on 8/10 motorcycles and attacked the Durga Temple in Madhya Rishipara, Saughat with local weapons and pistols till 2.30 pm on Saturday, December 26, injuring several people and fleeing. Threatens to emigrate. At that time, the locals blocked the road with a motorcycle.
Upon receiving the news, I Adv. Rabindra Ghosh of BDMW contacted on behalf of Bangladesh Minority Watch on my mobile (0130090300) with the Superintendent of Police of Narayanganj and he told me that legal action was being taken. I also talked with Rupganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Mahamudul Islam (Mobile 01320090533) he said that the case is being filed now – the case is in process. Against 10/12 Muslim attackers. The accused are fugitives. When police OK asked the father about breaking the idol, he said no idol was broken. But when questioned by the general public in the area, they said the statue had been smashed, adding that the attack was carried out to seize land by force. They said the injured had been admitted to hospital. They are demanding fair justice.
Bangladesh Minority Watch has strongly condemned the incident. They are demanding immediate arrest of the accused and taking legal action. BDMW is demanding proper treatment of the injured.
